Question: I did kegel exersizes for about 3 weeks and now I have a pain, not in my penis but just to the left of it on my body (where my pubic hair is) i dont no if its a ligament or a muscle. thing is i've had it for about 3 months! the reason i havent posted earlier is that it goes away for a few days or a week but then comes back. it has also given me premature ejaculation and is really depressing me. i've read the penile injuries thread and have tried to rest it as much as possible, but does it mean penis rest or complete rest? does anyone no of anything else i can do to heal my self such as supplements? creams? ointments?
Answer: You may have severely strained a muscle, and you could be reaggravating the injury with whatever activity you're doing. Complete rest means just that. You may have to abstain until you're fully healed. Massaging the affected area and applying heat should help.

Question: my #1 question/concern is about which workout routine I should be following. I have been on the workout routine listed in the penile excercises link on the members home page for about 7 days ( I am on the beginners 20-25 minute workout). Today though I went into the penile health institute link and found some additional and slighty different workout routines listed by each week of the program. My question to you is which one is the correct routine to follow? the routines listed in the penile health institute section are more detailed but i dont want to waste anytime with the wrong workout routine. so can you please help me on which workout routine I should be following. Also what are kegels? I can not seem to find what they are on the members site, maybe I 'm looking in the wrong places. Thanks
Answer: The best routine will focus on the basics and would have instructions for progression sequences. You NEED to try and progress a little each workout- that's how the penis is stressed into growing. I would suggest checking out the "Penile Fitness Guide" in the penilefitness.com member's area. Here's a direct link: http://www.mensforte.com/Members/Hot/Penile/ . You'll find a full description of the kegel and other stamina exercises here: http://www.mensforte.com/Members/Fitness/Penile/pf2004/_.php?pag=basic&menu=basic#strengthening .

Question: I'm about to start my third month of PE. My current workout is warm-up, 100 jelqs, 9 reps of Oriental Massage, kegels and cool down. I'm going to start doing the Oriental Massage twice a day and I want to start doing squeezes. My question is whether I have to do the squeezes as part of the morning workout. Can they be done by themselves at any time during the day? My morning workout runs about 25-30 min, and I don't really want to make it longer. Will it be effective to do the squeezes in the afternoon with the second session of Oriental Massage? Also, with the second session of Oriental Massage, do I have to do the warm up and cool down as I do with the first workout?
Answer: You shouldn't do squeezes until you've reached the advanced levels. If you insist on doing squeezes, replace your jelq work with them. Do them before anything else in your workout (after your warm up). You should still warm up/cool down for your second session.

Question: I work out and take different kinds of supplements. Are there any that may interfere with PE?
Answer: Vasoconstrictors like ephedra or caffeine shouldn't be taken before a PE workout.
Posted on: 2006-07-02
Question: I am tired of waiting for the locker room to empty out before I undress. What do I do to start making my penis larger?
Answer: Small jelq sessions performed throughout the day will give you the appearance of immediate flaccid gains.
Posted on: 2006-07-01
Question: Do all men experience quick gains the first few weeks of PE?
Answer: Most men see their quickest gains within the first few weeks of PE. Funny enough, some men don't respond too well to the jelq. When they start doing other exercises, these men will note their growth spurts then.

Question: Al, what do you think of devices like the Max-Vac and the Vac-U-Grip weight systems? How much would be an acceptable daily excercise regimen with these? What are typical gains with them? Thanks for your answers to multiple questions in one thread.
Answer: I really haven't heard too much about them. The way that a lot of these devices work, they eliminate stretching the body of the penis itself.

Question: are there any threads or outside sources to read up on this topic then? I'm really interested in further research i feel like there's alway something new to be learned and i see no need to stop middle of the road if i have the chance to gain more knowledge. thanks for any help
Answer: There are medical/scientific references that explain how the penis operates or how the penis changes when exposed to extreme tension. Look up these references in Google: Hoznek A, Rahmouni A, Abbou C, Delmas V, Colombel M. The suspensory ligament of the penis: an anatomic and radiologic description. Surg Radiol Anat. 1998;20(6):413-7. PMID: 9932326 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE] Alter GJ. Penile enlargement surgery (Mentions the use of weights/tension for lengthening the suspensory ligament). Tech Urol. 1998 Jun;4(2):70-6. PMID: 9623619 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE] Lee PA, Reiter EO. Genital size: a common adolescent male concern. Adolesc Med. 2002 Feb;13(1):171-80, viii. PMID: 11841963 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE] Kassim AA, Umans H, Nagel RL, Fabry ME. Department of Medicine (Division of Hematology), Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, New York 10461, USA. Megalophallus as a sequela of priapism in sickle cell anemia: use of blood oxygen level-dependent magnetic resonance imaging. Here's one sent to me by a physician that's been corresponding with me over the past few years- Dr. Foster, MD (Physician) You know Al, If you suffer a chronic shoulder dislocation, the reason that it becomes chronic is that the ligaments have been stretched and remain thus forever and ever amen. Therefore: the ligament is stretched and stays that way. I have, on occasion actually made it sore doing PE, so the tissue must be stressed. AKA "BoxCar" from Massachusetts

Question: 1- I think some information should be posted about healing time of the tissue that make up the penis. 2. Some in depth info needs to be posted on prostoglandin E1 and E2. I have read a bit about these hormones and that they are responsible for the overall potential each individual has for maximum growth. can anyone help? or at least help me compile some good info? these are 2 huge factors in PEing in my eyes. Having better understanding of these factors would give us better odds with timing of exercising as well as supplementation...
Answer: Though a theory, penile growth relies on slow cellular expansion, not necessarily actual hypertrophy of the tissues. To better understand what I mean, penis enlargement is less like bodybuilding and more like yoga. For that reason, tissue breakdown shouldn't be the goal, nor would prostaglandin levels necessarily be a factor in gains. Of course, when someone actually decides to do a study on the results of PE using an electron microscope, we'll know the real answers.

Question: Al, I have been on the basic beginner program for 2 months, 4-5 days a week and I am not seeing gains. Can you suggest some excersizes that will show me some gians for both lengthening and thickening?
Answer: What have you done in detail? Sets, reps, progression sequences.
Posted on: 2006-06-26
Question: I read on a couple of sites a theory that suggests its better to work on length before girth because 'it is harder to stretch something thicker than it is to stretch something thinner'. Any thoughts on this? Is it true? Or partially true?
Answer: That's assuming that the penis is built like a piece of taffy- which it's not. By stretching out the tunica (as you do with squeezes), you actually make the lengthening process easier. Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation stretching and penis enlargement. PNF is an acronym for proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. It's actually a combination of passive and isometric stretching. It's been proven that voluntary contraction during a stretch increases tension on the muscle. The theory behind the success of PNF stretching lies in the golgi tendon organs. The golgi tendon inhibits muscular activation. Using PNF stretching increases the threshold of the golgi tendon organ, allowing you to get a more powerful contraction and a more effective stretch. So, when the voluntary contraction is stopped, the muscle is even more inhibited from contracting against a subsequent stretch. A lot of serious researchers in the field of human biology believe that the endomysium and perimysium (fascia) are chiefly responsible for the restriction of muscle growth. There is strong evidence that suggests that bodybuilders that have incorporated "fascial stretching" into their routines have seen greater gains and deeper muscle separation. Why should this matter to those of us only interested in enlarging our penises? Well, the stretching also has an effect on the ligaments as well. Here's where things get interesting: "The fundiform ligament is a thickening of the superficial penile fascia, deep to which is the suspensory ligament which is a continuity with Buck's fascia. The attachment of the ligament to the pubic symphysis maintains the penile position during erection. Severance of this ligament will lead to a lower angulation of the penile shaft during erection." Reference: "Male Genital Anatomy" from the Boston University School Of Medicine- http://www.bumc.bu.edu/Dept/Content.aspx?PageID=6939&departmentid=371 . I've created an exercise that uses PNF stretching and applies it to PE. Check out MensProgram for details.

Question: Alright I have been on the program for years----changing my routine and what not---and have had some gains but not what to the point im looking for. I did the 6 days per week thing in the beginning since I have been on your site since about 2000. I noticed that was too much and was overtraining. I would like to see if you can give me a routine that be in the 3,4, or 5 day a week ---since I think thta would be best. Thanks alot---I need a more specific routine than the ones provided and I am looking for both girth and length.
Answer: If you need specific advice on a routine not listed on PenileFitness.com, please visit http://www.mensprogram.com. I can create a customized routine for you there.
Posted on: 2006-06-24
Question: I've certainly reached my goals, but will continue to complete the program as recommended. My question is is there a maintenance program to keep all things at there current levels?
Answer: Your PC work and regular sexual activity should maintain all of the size that you gained. Do a search for "cementing" on this forum for details.
Posted on: 2006-06-23
Question: I never really understood the correlation between kegels, a stronger PC muscle and being able to last longer in bed. Is having a stronger PC muscle in and of itself supposed to prolong the time it takes to full arousal and ejaculation? Or is a stronger PC muscle needed for you to do something . . . like kegel during sex or whatever. Something that lets you last longer. Any answers?
Answer: ED can be caused by venous leaks in the penis. Kegels plug up these venous leaks, which results in stronger erections. Also, a strong PC contraction prior to the "point of no return" can delay or extend your orgasm.

Question: Yo, what stretches should I do while warming up with a hot soak? Also, the text mentions a heating pad designed just for warming up for PE, but has no link-does such a pad exist?
Answer: Just light, steady stretches in all directions will do. A small heating pad used to warm injured muscles will do the trick. just remember not to set the heat too high.
